A foundational session for the MIA Community, building on the MIA Accessibility Guide. The aim is to give attendees a practical grounding in what accessibility means in a business events context, why it matters, what the landscape looks like, and where to start. Objectives:
• Understand the key principles of accessible and inclusive event design • Explore the main areas of accessibility relevant to meetings and events eg physical, digital, communications, and content • Introduce the MIA Accessibility Guide as a practical reference tool • Surface the questions and challenges members are already facing
